Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 8, 2026
Badge & Brick keeps your training and health information on your iPhone. We don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't send it to our own servers. This policy covers the Badge & Brick app for iPhone and Apple Watch ("the app"), made by Adam Draisen ("we").
What the app stores on your iPhone
- Your profile: the name and email you enter at sign-up, an optional occupation, and your answers to the setup questions (training experience, age range, equipment, any health limits you choose to share).
- Your training log: workouts, sets, weights, reps, cardio, notes and how-you-feel check-ins.
This information stays on your iPhone. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect Apple Health, the app reads: heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep (including sleep stages), sleeping wrist temperature, breathing rate, blood oxygen, heart rate, and workouts. It uses them to show your recovery score and recovery details, to suggest lighter or harder training days, to point out when several readings are off your normal at once, and to add workouts recorded in Apple Fitness to your log.
If you use the Badge & Brick Apple Watch app, it writes the workouts you record with it (type, time, heart rate and calories) to Apple Health.
Health information:
- is processed on your iPhone and Apple Watch only;
- is never sold, never shared with advertisers or data brokers, and never used for marketing or advertising;
- is never stored in iCloud or on our servers by the app.
You choose which categories to allow, and you can turn any of them off at any time in the Health app (your profile picture, then Apps, then Badge & Brick). The app also has a Recovery score switch and a Stop using Health button in Settings.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no ad tracking.
- No analytics or crash-reporting services.
- No selling or renting of any information.
Third parties
- YouTube: exercise demo links open YouTube in your browser or the YouTube app, under YouTube's own terms and privacy policy.
- Apple: if you install the app from the App Store or TestFlight, Apple handles that under its own privacy policy.
Backups
Export backup creates a file with your log that you save wherever you choose, such as Files or iCloud Drive. Anything you save or share that way is under your control and the policy of where you save it.
Keeping or deleting your information
Your information stays on your iPhone until you delete it. To delete everything, use Settings, then Erase everything, or delete the app. Because we don't hold a copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
The app is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect. Big changes, such as storing accounts on a server, will also be shown in the app.
